Her Story

Hello, I'm Sonya Black Harris — founder of Black Beauty Hair Gallery, a Licensed Cosmetologist, Master Hairstylist, Healthy Hair Care Specialist, salon owner, mother, and grandmother with more than 35 years of professional hair care experience. But more than any title, this work is my calling, my passion, and my ministry.

Restore After Pressure™ was born from personal experience, faith, and purpose. After recovering from COVID-19 in January 2022, I began experiencing significant shedding and thinning in my crown area. That season was deeply personal and humbling in ways I didn't expect. I was no longer just the stylist helping other women through their hair concerns — I was the woman sitting inside the experience, looking in the mirror, searching for answers.

That journey led me to research natural and botanical oils traditionally used to support scalp nourishment, moisture balance, and healthier-looking hair. What began as my own restoration journey became the foundation for Black Beauty Hair Food Serums — and eventually, the heart behind Restore After Pressure™.

Through that experience, I saw what so many women carry in silence. They weren't just looking for a product. They needed to feel seen, heard, and guided through the process. They needed a clear plan, a consistent routine, and someone who truly understood the emotional weight of watching your crown change. That realization became the foundation for this system.
